I created the series Lines of Earth, as a collection of paintings made with natural plant and earth dyes. The series began six years ago as a response to my understanding of deep time as seen in geologic outcrops, such as in an angular unconformity. Each work in the series has been made in or in response to various geologic locations from around the world, and they all carry within them the forms and colors of plants and soils that may grow in those areas.
